Cornelia Arnolda Johanna "Corrie" ten Boom (15 April 1892 – 15 April 1983) De orígene holandés, quien ayudó junto con su familia a muchos judios a escapar del holocausto, se le atribuye esta frase.

Es muy fácil caer en depresión cuando vemos las circunstancias que nos rodean y más aún cuando vemos que no parece que van a cambiar pronto. Sin embargo, como cristianos, nuestra mirada y enfoque van más haya de lo que tenemos enfrente; nuestras miradas siempre deben estar puestas en Dios.

Por los 3 siguientes domingos, el diácono Eduardo Dolpher hablará durante la homilia en la Misa de 1:00 PM una serie titulada. “Las Asombrosas Promesas de Dios” Que tienen la finalidad de ayudarnos a enfocarnos en nuestra esperanza que es Dios mismo.

La misericordia de Dios es mucho más grande que la nuestra. Su misericordia nunca pude ser comparada con lo mínimo de lo cual nosotros somos capaces.

En el año 2000, San Juan Pablo II canonizó a Santa Faustina y durante la ceremonia dijo que “es importante que acojamos íntegramente el mensaje que nos transmite la palabra de Dios en este segundo domingo de Pascua, que a partir de ahora en toda la Iglesia se designará con el nombre de ‘Domingo de la Divina Misericordia’”. (Homilía, 30 de Abril, 2000).
